Post-tensioning is a method of reinforcing (strengthening) concrete or other materials with high-strength steel strands known as tendons.---post tensioning institute, Phoenix, Arizona, USA.

Benefits of post tensioning (PT)

  • long and clear spans, with flexible grids.

  • thinner slabs with fewer beams or no beams

  • lesser construction time.

  • High tensile and flexural strength.

  • proven cost effective for all spans >=7m

  • Ideal for  clean office space, apartment buildings, Multi storey parking Stadiums/auditoriums (buildings which require long spans and/or heavy loads), Bridges and culverts

Our services.

  • PT flat slab/ PT flat plate

    Economical span<=40 ft Imposed load<=10kPa

    flush soffit, simple clean, uncluttered and widely substituted for RC slabs with heavily loadings (LL>4kN/m2)
    increased flexural, shear and tensile strength.

  • PT beam

    Economical span<=35m (100 ft). Imposed load<=15kPa.

    Used for irregular grids or longer spans. Also incorporated with RC slabs considered (LL>4kN/m2)

    Commonly used to transfer load from columns or walls.

    PT beams are shallow compared to RC beams (½ the size)
